Powerful IED recovered, two militants arrested
A powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED), weighing more than ten kgs, was recovered from a car and two persons have been arrested in Assam's Dhubri district today, official sources said.

A powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED), weighing more than ten kgs, was recovered from a car and two persons have been arrested in Assam's Dhubri district on Thursday, official sources said.
Acting on a tip-off, troops of 19 Madras Regiment and police in a joint operation stopped a car at Bahalpur on National Highway 31 and recovered the IED from two persons travelling in it.
The police arrested the two people, suspected to belong to the militant outfit Muslim United Liberation Front of Asom (MULTA).
The two have been identified as Jalaluddin and Shahidul Islam, sources said.
