Praful Patel attends religious fair in Gujarat

Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel today attended a religious fair in Gujarat's Junagadh district on the occasion of auspicious Ashadhi Bij.

Patel, who arrived Rajkot Tuesday afternoon in a special flight went straight to the venue Parab Dham, in a helicopter to attend the fair, sources said.

District Collector H S Patel was present at the airport to welcome the minister. Patel is likely to go back Delhi later in the evening, they said.

Following the minister's visit, security arrangments have been stepped up and nearly one lakh people are expected to attend the fair.

Parab Dham is famous for serving lepers and other humanitarian services.
