The ruling party, however, expressed concern over the "impact of narcotics on the youth."

"It is a family matter of Pramod Mahajan who is no more. We will not like to comment on it but this trend towards narcotics should be controlled as it has an impact on our youth," party spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan told reporters in New Delhi.
