Historically, on Good Friday the entire Church fixes its gaze on the Cross, on which Jesus Christ was crucified. The Cross is glorified on this day as a sign of Christ's resurrection and victory over sin and death.

To celebrate the day, St Peter's Catholic Community took part in the solemn 'Way of the Cross enactment' on city roads, while reciting the historical details of Jesus' crucifixion trying to walk along with Jesus on his way to crucifixion.

A scene of Jesus carrying the Cross was made alive with the help of youth members and the gathering followed the scene, stopped at every station of the Cross and mourned the death of their saviour.

Then there was a long prayer service to listen to the biblical narratives of the passion of Jesus, including the veneration of the Cross. After the passion readings the faithful Catholics received the Holy Communion. The faithful who had fasted for the last forty days at last broke their fast after the service.
