Preeti gave 'supari' for Bhandarkar killing?

Bollywood starlet Preeti Jain was on Saturday detained by police for allegedly giving a 'supari' (contract) to underworld don Arun Gawli to eliminate filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar.

Jain allegedly paid Rs 70,000 as part payment to one of Gawli's aides in the last two months, police said adding that the matter came to light when another Gawli aide, advocate Bagawe brought the matter to the notice of police earlier this week.

"We have called Preeti Jain for questioning, but she has not been arrested yet," Additional Commissioner of Police (central) Subodh Kumar Jaiswal said.

Jain hit the headlines after she accused Bhandarkar of sexually exploiting her and filed suit.
