Pregnant detainee's condition worsens; shifted to hospital

The woman who was detained for her alleged involvement in terrorism was shifted to SMGS hospital, reports Sanjay Khajuria.

A middle aged pregnant detainee detained for her alleged involvement
in terrorism at District Jail Amphalla, Jammu on Thursday was shifted to SMGS
hospital after her condition deteriorated in the said jail.

Sources said that the accused has been identified as Rukhsana Begum
(37) from Rajouri (whose husband involved in insurgency is still
absconding). She was rushed to the SMGS hospital for necessary treatment after her condition became critical following profuse bleeding.

Hospital sources revealed that the lady police officials accompanying the
pregnant lady and the lady herself revealed about the four months
malignancy at the time of her arrest. Authorities on anonymity, however,
informed it was a full pregnancy but profuse bleeding had deteriorated
her condition.
