President in Kerala for two-day visit

The President would inaugurate the valedictory session of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Assembly this afternoon.

President Pratibha Patil arrived in Kerala on Wednesday for a two-day visit.

The president was received at the airport by Governor RL Bhatia, Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan, his cabinet colleagues and senior officials.

The President would inaugurate the valedictory session of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Assembly this afternoon.

Tomorrow, she would inaugurate the birth centenary celebrations of former Chief Minister and educationist R Sankar.
