Presiding over the dharna, president of the newly appointed Primary Teachers Sangarsh Morcha Tarkeshwar Shahi said that so far the verification course of only 15 newly appointed teachers had been completed and the slow pace of verification work was highly condemnable. Extending his support to the dharna, president of Primary Teachers Association Janardan Tiwari said the demands of the newly appointed teachers were genuine and the organisation was in support of the dharna.

Secretary of the association Chinta Mani Pandey said that even after 18 months, the verification course had not been completed due to the apathetic attitude of the officials. He said that newly appointed teachers would not continue their work without payment, as they needed money for their daily bread. District president of UP Intermediate Teachers’ Association (Sharma group) and vice president of the morcha Yogesh Shukla said if education officials would not ensure early payment of their salaries, the teachers would launch a decisive battle against the education officials.
