The college building has been leased on rent by Jethalal Lakchanshi Charitable Trust.

“On May 26, 2006, the trust started the excavation but it did not pay the mining dues to the government to the tune of Rs 90,26,573,” said tehsildar Krishna Jadhav.

“The Collector had issued a notice to them to pay the dues in February. But nothing came of it. I issued a notice in May under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code. But they didn’t respond. So, the principal’s cabin was sealed,” he added.

College principal Dr. S Ram Reddy said: “The dues are to be paid by the trust and the new trustee has promised to do so within two days.”

The tehsildar has given two days for payment of dues or else the college will be sealed.
