The students are children of Dalit forest guards employed in remote areas.

He has appointed Additional Collector K K Khare as the inquiry officer, an order issued from Collector’s office today said. Khare has been asked to submit the report on seven-point inquiry within 15 days.

The inquiry will focus on whether the hostel in Residency area was meant for children of Dalit forest guards employed in remote areas so that they could have access to educational facilities in City and that how many children were enrolled in the hostel.

Other point of inquiry is whether DFO evicted students and used the premises as his personal residence and how much money was spent on the beautification of this residence and whether it is legal.

The fourth point raised demands to know whether 16 students were picked up from hostel at midnight to be left in jungles while eight girls among them were shifted to girls hostel at Navratanbagh and whether remaining eight boys were left to their fate.
