The victims included two children and a 50-year-old woman who succumbed to H1N1 virus in different hospitals here.

Out of 27 patients undergoing treatment in ICUs, eight of them were stated to be in a critical condition.

There had been a marked spurt in the number of suspected cases being screened at various centres set up in the city with the onset of winter, officials added.

Pune recorded the country's first Swine flu fatality on August 3 when a 14-year-old schoolgirl died in a private hospital.
