Punjab CM's wife not allowed to vote

Preneet Kaur is not allowed to cast her vote as she failed to produce her voter?s identity card which was issued to her.

Punjab Chief Minister’s wife and Patiala MP Preneet Kaur was not allowed to cast her vote on Tuesday as she failed to produce her voter’s identity card which was duly issued to her.

An Election Commission spokesman said that as per the ECI guidelines, persons who were issued voter identity cards will have to produce them if they want to exercise their right to franchise.
