A strong 6.0 magnitude earthquake shook the Atlantic Ocean between South America and Africa, the US Geological Survey said on Saturday.
The 10-kilometre deep earthquake took place in the central mid-Atlantic ridge at 1755 GMT (2325 IST) on Friday, the USGS said. It was located 855 kilometres northeast of Brazil's northeastern state of Pernambuco.
