All promises made by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have "remained on paper" and he is enacting a "drama" and ignoring the people's interest, leader of the opposition in State Assembly Rabri Devi said on Tuesday.

"Nitish Kumar is doing nothing but enacting a drama. All his promises remain on paper," Rabri Devi said while reacting to the Chief Minister's announcement to hold 'Gap-Shap karyakrama' (consultation with legislators, intellectuals and experts from various fields) by taking time off from his busy schedule almost every day.

Describing the announcement as "yet another cruel joke" inflicted on the people, Rabri Devi said that the "CM's favourite Janata Darbar (public gathering) has proved to be nothing but a headache for the people".

"The victims who visit the Janata Darbar are being victimised" she said in a statement.

She also dubbed the 'Gap Shap' programme as "a programme meant for the entertainment of the chief minister".

Slamming the NDA government for its alleged failure on all fronts, she said that "the law and order situation is absolutely bad and similar is the situation of electricity and education".

She said that if the situation did not not improve, RJD would announce an agitation against the state government in the third week of August.
