"The railways are offering a package which is far better than the compensation paid by the West Bengal government to acquire land. If the people are willing to give their land by accepting the railway package, then only the railways would acquire land," Adhikary claimed at a publi meeting at Golpukur area of Nandigram.

The TC MP claimed that most of the people are willing to give land for the railway project in the area as the railways would bring prosperity in the area.

Adhikary alleged that the CPI(M) is instigating the people not to give land for the railway project.
