Among the rebels who made their return was Tikam Chand Kant, who was elected to the assembly as an independent candidate from Siwana, state unit president Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi said. Senior Congressman Ramji Lal Yadav, a former MP, and Congress's Backward caste women's leader karma Balmiki also joined the BJP, he added.

Their entry would help the party in the coming Lok Sabha polls, Chaturvedi said.
