Rajasthan Govt directs PHED to ensure water supply

Rajasthan government has directed the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) speed up the tube-well/hand-pump projects for ensuring water supply during the current summer season.

The government has fixed the deadline for finishing the works as June 10.

PHED secretary R.K.Meena has said that stern action would be taken against those officials who continue with the digging works even after the deadline, an official release said on Friday.
