
Raje Govt names 7-member team for Gujjars talks
The Rajasthan government on Thursday constituted a seven-member team to hold parleys with a Gujjar delegation after leaders of the agitating community agreed to resume talks with the state over its demand for ST status.
The team comprises state BJP president Om Prakash Mathur, its national treasurer and Rajya Sabha MP Ram Das Agarwal, Minister of state for Irrigation Sanwarmal Jat, Minister of state for Mines Laxmi Narayan Dave, Principal Secretary (Irrigation) and government's special envoy SN Thanvi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister (Vasundhara Raje) Sunil Arora and Principal Secretary (Social Justice, Securities and Empowerment) Malvika Panwar.
Agitation spearhead K S Bainsala had named a 22-member Gujjar delegation to resume the second round of talks with the government here after the Dausa Sessions court ordered release on bail of 25 arrested women agitators on Thursday.
