"When the party's central leadership decides, it is to be complied by everyone. If she (Raje) is loyal to the party, she must follow the order without making any delay or finding excuses", Bhabhra, who was the vice-chairman of the State Economic Planning and Reform Council in Raje's tenure, told PTI in Jaipur.
Describing Raje's defiance as an exception, Bhabhra suggested the party leadership to appoint "a new leader of opposition in the state assembly of her (Raje's) choice" to resolve the matter.
"When party made her chief minister in 2003, she complied. Now when she is asked to quit as the leader of opposition, she is talking illogically and absurdly", he said, accusing Raje of "provoking sentiments of other MLAs with an intention to form a regional party".
Meanwhile, state BJP President Arun Chaturvedi refused to comment on the matter saying it was the issue between the party highcommand and legislators led by Raje.
"The state unit has nothing to do with it, unless asked by the party high command," Chaturvedi said.
