Tamil superstar Rajnikant, whose fans associations are locked in a bitter row with PMK, is likely to meet CEC on April 26 seeking protection for his fans.

Tamil superstar Rajnikant, whose fans associations are locked in a bitter row with PMK, is likely to meet Chief Election Commissioner T S Krishna Murthy on Monday apparently to seek protection to his fans in Tamil Nadu.

Rajnikant, who enjoys considerable fan following in the state, was recently in the capital en route to Rishikesh.

The actor, who is at loggerheads with PMK leader S Ramadoss, had recently asked his followers to work against PMK nominees in six constituencies. Personally, he would vote for the BJP-AIADMK combine.

Recently, his fans association had approached the Election Commission demanding "strong action" against PMK leader for an alleged attack by his men on the actor's supporters in Madurai early this month. PTI MS VSC NNG 04241514 D
