Divisional vice-president of the association Rakesh Kumar Srivastav said that the UPA government implemented the economic policies of NDA government and ignored the common minimum programme. He said the labourers and employees in unorganised sectors would not be mute spectators to their exploitation. He demanded an urban employment guarantee scheme for unemployed youth in urban areas.
He also demanded that privatisation of telecommunication, banks and airports should be stopped immediately.
Meanwhile, the National Forum of People’s Organisation has also decided to hold a rally on December 14 against the new economic and new pension policies of union government.
In a meeting of the joint employees, president of employees union CV Tripathi has exhorted the bank employees to extend their support to the rally.
Secretary of Communist Party (M) Purushottam Tripathi, secretary of CPI Omprakash Chand and employees’ union of Life Insurance Corporation would also extend their support to the proposed rally.
