He said the common man should cooperate with the administration to foil nefarious designs of terrorists.
The rallyists passed through Fatman and Maldahiya before going back to the Sigra Stadium. Arora Classes director Prakash Raj Arora, Narayan Agarwal and Atul Kumar Pandey were among those who participated.
Meanwhile, Drishti Society members took out a ‘padyatra’ from the main gate of the Banaras Hindu University, to a mosque in the Nagwa area on Sunday. Cadets of the National Cadets Corps (NCC) and students of the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS-BHU) participated in the rally with placards that denounced the twin blasts in Malegaon.
Speaking on the occasion, padyatra coordinator Hemant Yadav said people should unite against terrorists who did not belong to any religion.
Dr Anil Dev, Shashikant Tripathi, Aslam Sheikh, Rajeev, Sanjeev and Sanjay were among others who participated in the padyatra and pledged to fight terrorism.
