Rameshwari produces first Punjabi film

The film, produced by the Bollywood actress, is reportedly an adaptation of Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.

produced by Bollywood actress Rameshwari promises to be a riot of laughs as it hits the theatres next month.

Rameshwari, who recently ventured into film production, said, "The experience behind the camera has been fantastic. You see your effort shaping up before your eyes."

Asked why she chose to produce a Punjabi film, Rameshwari said if she had to do justice with the subject of the film, it had to be in Punjabi.

"Moreover, my husband Deepak Seth who has co-produced this film is a Punjabi and has been of immense help in this project," she said.

The lead actor in the film Main Tu AssiTussi and veteran Bollywood actor Kulbhushan Kharbanda said the film, based on Comdey of Errors, is about a young love story caught in a riot of comedy.

"The film breaks the boundaries of religion and countries to showcase a plot of mistaken identities," he said.

Comedian Rakesh Bedi who is also playing a lead role in the film, said the audiences will love the plot.

The film was shot at Patiala, Malerkotla and Mumbai.
