A Delhi court on Tuesday remanded Sher Singh Rana, the prime accused in Phoolan Devi murder case, to eight days police custody.

Rana, who was brought to New Delhi from Kolkata, was produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Seema Maini who remanded him for custodial interrogation till May 3.
Rana, who was arrested on Monday evening, was brought to New Delhi on transit remand.
Rana had escaped from the Tihar jail on February 17, 2004.
