The Himachal Forest Minister Ram Lal Thakur formally welcomed the new guest 'Subhash' and 'Sapana' at the nature park today. Both the animals who came as new year gift have been kept in separate enclosures with common fence to provide them opportunity to familiarise with each other before they could be prepared for inbreeding.

The male leopard is two years and four months old while female is four year and four months old.

The animals are shy and rarely come out of the enclosures in presence of visitors even if the gates are open. The normal diet of the new arrivals is about 8-kg of meat and chicken etc. Per day, nature park officials said.
