Tennis enthusiasts in Chennai had a chance to see Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon in an entirely different role.
Participating in the Tata Open tournament, the actress teamed up with defending champion Guillermo Canas to take on the might of actor Madhavan and tennis legend Vijay Amritraj.
MTV VJ Cyrus Broacha served as Umpire with the crowd cheering the players throughout the fifteen minute one-game match.
Raveena kept hitting the ball out of the boundary while Madhavan managed to get the ball across the net. Eventually her team won the match.
However, speaking to reporters after the match, Raveena said that the main purpose of organising the project was to raise money for CRY, a voluntary organisation for children. "I am the official ambassador for CRY. I have worked with them for a long time in Mumbai. This is for the first time I am working outside. We organised this match for their project called Muttukul in Chennai," she said.
