RCL board reconstituted, Anil is new chairman

A day after Anil Ambani took control of three Reliance companies, following ownership settlement, the board of RCL was reconstituted.

A day after Anil Ambani took control of three Reliance companies, following settlement of ownership issue of RIL group, the board of Reliance Capital was reconstituted on Sunday.

Anil was elected chairman of Reliance Capital by its board which met here after the two brothers settled their bitter row over the Rs 1,00,000 crore Reliance empire.

RCL also inducted top-notch professionals to advise the companies in carrying out future expansion and to achieve the objective of transforming it into a financial powerhouse.

While unveiling his new group 'Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Enterprises', Anil announced the names of the new directors of RCL.

The new director inducted in RCL is eminent chartered accountant Rajendra Chitale, who is also a director in NSE, Asset Reconstruction Company and Gujarat Ambuja Cements. Chitale was also a member of two committees of SEBI and the Company Law Advisory committee of the government.

The two other directors of RCL is SS Thakur and R Jhunjhunwala.

Mukesh Ambani's close aide Anand Jain along with DN Chaturvedi, DJ Kapadia, Sandeep H Junnarkar and Alok Agarwal resigned from RCL board.
