Reaching the Peak of Ambition
The three-legged toad with the coin attracts money and without the coin it brings good fortune in health sector, writes Mohan Deep.Updated: Dec 01, 2005 20:00 IST
"I had completed the interior of my house and was looking for some mural or painting for my wall. While surfing I saw your Feng Shui painting of the Peak at http://www.fengshuimiracle.com and somehow like the description as well as the look." Shaw was to recall later.
The description read: This painting of ascending steps - The Peak - is meant for the Career & Opportunities corner. This is for the ruthlessly ambitious person who wants to reach the zenith in his career. Interestingly, this can also nullify the negative effect if any premise is in a low-lying area or a part of any premises makes you go a step or two lower.
Shaw noticed that his hall was at a level that was lower by about 12 inches and like he said later, "The description ruthlessly ambitious person touched the cord somewhere as I was ambitious but not ruthless. I didn't have the killer instinct. I'd develop cold feet at the last moment. I was this way as a player too. I'd come across a block; or would choke just before the final round."
Shaw had a good enough business but his targets were always lower than he could easily achieve. He was perceived as a little laidback and this style had percolated to the lowest in the staff. The middle level executives believed that the boss was not ambitious enough and in fact, some had found themselves jobs seeing future in other organizations.
Less than four months later, he went public and his issue fetched Rs 45 crore!
A year later, they announced bonus for the shareholders!
To get more details about this case study, I spoke to his private secretary with his consent. She explained, "I can trace the change in the boss easily. It started in March. I remember it because he gave me my first deadline.
This year everything was ready before the time.
"The change in my boss was visible in many ways. He wanted to go public but the paperwork was taking too much time, partly because he was a little lenient. He called the meeting of the concerned officers and told them to pull up socks, that every formality must be completed so that the company could go public in July. He emitted power without once raising his voice. And he was obeyed.
"I went on noticing the changes in him. It was as if someone else had taken charge of his life and style, like he was someone else."
Back to Shaw, who analyzed the change in him, "Mohanji, I do not know whether your words inspired me or the painting but I consulted you and brought Feng Shui changes only after the peak transformed me! And Feng Shui changed further added to our success."
In fact Shaw is one of those clients who begin by acquiring my Feng Shui paintings and once the painting shows results, go all out for complete Feng Shui consultation.
And this consultation included shifting the marketing staff and placing them in the appropriate sector to start a strategy new to; the strategy to hard sell!
Along with that are his other ruthless plans that will place him on the top of the heap, destroying his competitors.
Very few know that the three-legged toad with the coin attracts Money and without the coin it brings good fortune in health sector! I discovered this in an old Chinese legend about the toad.
This legend is about Chang E who stole the Elixir of Immortality from her husband and escaped to the Moon. Here she changed into a three-legged toad Chinese see in the spots on the Moon. Her husband fell seriously ill and when she heard it, she returned to his house as a toad. With the arrival of three legged toad, the husband regained his health. However, he could never know that Chang had atoned for her sin of theft. She returned to the Moon, heart broken but vowed to always help the sick and ailing to atone for her sin. Since then, the toad, without a coin in its mouth, has to do with health. In the orient it is believed that the moon toad bring good tidings about health. Some even consider it as good as Wu Lou to attract the health luck.
Interestingly, if the toad has a coin in its mouth, then it is the toad of Liu Hai's, a symbol of making big money. Liu Hai was a 10th century Taoist sorcerer who had a magical three-legged toad. The sorcerer was never short of money in spite his indulgence in every pleasure. Every time the toad would ran away, Liu Hai would lure it back. Liu Hai's toad could also transport you anywhere and could get you anything.
