Bihar should at the earliest be put under President's/Military rule as the people of Bihar are being denied their democratic right to elect candidate of their own.

A well thought out 10-year perspective plan for Bihar's all-round development giving stress on the key areas like village education, village development, agriculture, etc. should be prepared and implemented in a time-bound manner with PMO as the monitoring agency.

Tainted politicians should be put behind bars, and banned from politics for ever.

- Shantanu (sajalban@yahoo.com), Delhi

The people of Bihar have failed miserably in electing the right and honest people to run the state. The politicians and the people of Bihar are equally responsible for the miserable state of Bihar. Neither the people of Bihar, nor the administrative authorities, absolutely not he politicians.

People of Bihar do not deserve to have an elected Government to run the state. The whole state has degenerated to a state of complete Moral Degradation. A non-Bihari like ex-IG of Punjab (JS) Brar or ex-CM of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu be appointed as CEO of Bihar and to select his own team to run the State for at least 5 years.

Bihar police should be confined to their barracks and law and order situation should be handed over to CRPF. This is the only way to pull the State of Bihar from it's present sad state. What can you expect from an illiterate Chief Minister, who has been put in the chair by her husband, only so that Laloo Yadav could retain the controls in his hands.

This means that in RJD there was no one whom Laloo Yadav trusted. Also no one in RJD felt offended for not being considered more competent than the Illiterate wife of Laloo Yadav. Therefore Biharis are not competent to run their state. It is only an outsider can put the Bihar State back on rails.

What else can you imagine from a people like Rabri Devi. People like Laloo think that once they are in power, they become God. He can do whatever he wants and to some extend he is right. He is able to fool the illiterate people of Bihar every time.

I am from Bihar and I can guarantee that no one likes Laloo, but Laloo always wins using his muscle power.

- Indian Citizen (ran70@hotmail.com), Chicago, USA

Kill the gunda element and change the gunda raj government.

- S Kumar (skumar@hotmail.com), Patna

This state needs a fresh leadership from out of this state or in fact from out of India. A leader with a will and determination to take Bihar on development path can only solve Bihar's misery.

People of Bihar are so used to this corruption that they have taken it as their fate. But once they hear the whistle of change they all will wake up and then path to development will not be that tough.

- Shabab Shams (shbshams@yahoo.com), Sacramento, USA

Laloo Prasad is the sorrow of Bihar. Just need to get rid of him. If the one ruling state wants the state to be 'Under developed' who can help it?

- SRT (srtripathy@hotmail.com), New Delhi

Punish Laloo and remove the defunct CM. Enforce law & order. It should be applicable on politicians and elite. In US, all are equal in front of law. Recently US Congressman got jail term on hit & run accident and resigned from Capitol.

Insult to constitution should not be tolerated. Constitution should be followed in letter and spirit. Remove - reservation.

Media should not act as a mouth piece of ruling party Congress, they should promote and protect constitution and not their own pocket by filling newspapers with lies. This is HT's best quality. Every citizen should contribute.

- Malti (mp_p@hotmail.com), New York, USA

Remove Lalu Prasad Yadav from Bihar, give a government house to him and his family in Delhi, and he should not be allowed to enter Bihar for up to five years. Six month should be Rashtrapati shasan (President's rule) and elections after that. Then may be there will be some chance of improving Bihar?

- Birendra Rawat (bsr_rawat2003@yahoomail.com), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Impose President rule in Bihar for 5 years. Let development work be carried out in this time, independent from politics - the Army there will ensure discipline and control crime. Using "force" is the only alternative when things become worst.

- Virender Kashyap (viren16@rediffmail.com), Mumbai

Bihar needs laws enforced and all youths properly educated to rise from its current status. At the same time I don't believe it is only Bihar with such problems. I think many parts of India suffer from the same problems, but don't get the highly publicised and negative coverage that Bihar always does.

- Biharibadshah (kishoreo@hotmail.com), Jersey City, USA

President's Rule for 12 years.

- Manmohan Prasad (sun@yahoo.com), California, USA

Only Military Rule for at least ten years.

- Anurudh Yadav (manny@yahoo.com), Hawaii, USA

What ails Bihar is Laloo Prasad Yadav and his relatives and friends. He has made Bihar as his kingdom. Problems like crime, poor education, low development of Industries and poor governance is because of him.

In his regime crime, and castism have grown like never before. The only solution for Bihar is to remove him from Bihar and bring educated people who can govern the state without personal interest.
