The Registrar of Indian Medical Board had in 2005 issued directions to the authorities about the functioning of six medical colleges in Muzaffarnagar and Saharahpur districts without recognition, official sources said on Thursday.
More than 250 students who got diplomas from these unauthorised colleges were practising in different areas of western Uttar Pradesh after enrolling as medical practitioners, they added.
