Rekha Singh takes oath
The newly elected zila panchayat chairperson, Rekha Singh of the Samajwadi Party, took the oath of office at a ceremony, in Allahabad on Saturday. The oath of secrecy of office was administered to Singh by district magistrate Amrit Abhijat.

The newly elected zila panchayat chairperson, Rekha Singh of the Samajwadi Party, took the oath of office at a ceremony, in Allahabad on Saturday.
The oath of secrecy of office was administered to Singh by district magistrate Amrit Abhijat.
The ceremony was attended by senior party leaders. Prominent among those present on the occasion included State Minister for Environment Ujjwal Raman Singh, who was also the chief guest of the function.
Others who attended the oath-taking ceremony were district president of the party Jokhu Lal Yadav, MP Atique Ahmad, MLA Mahesh Narain Singh, MLC Jai Singh Yadav, mayor Dr KP Srivastava and zila panchayat members.
