At least five relatives and friends of the 1993 serial blasts convicts, sentenced by the TADA court, were detained following minor clashes between them and the police.
At least five relatives and friends of the 1993 serial blasts convicts sentenced by the TADA court were detained following minor clashes between them and police outside the high security Arthur Road jail.

The relatives alleged that they were not allowed by the police to meet the convicts to deliver essential items like footwear and clothing before they were to be taken to the Nashik jail to serve the imprisonment period awarded to them by the court.
The van carrying the convicts was stopped by the relatives at the exit of the Arthur Road jail and they refused to move.
However, after being told to move some of the relatives continued to raise slogans and also tried to damage some vehicles parked in the vicinity following which they were detained.
