"Government is adopting tactics of dilly dallying over the land transfer issue. We ask the government to immediately rescind the order and ensure the smooth conduct of the yatra so that communal forces do not take undue advantage of the situation and mislead people", state secretary of CPI (M) M Y Tarigami said in a statement.

He asked the government to overcome "vacillations" and take a quick decision and revoke the order regarding transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).

Tarigami cautioned that the government is being scanned as the present situation has put the very peace process at stake.

Since a serious situation has emerged which is telling upon economy and day to day life of the masses, the government should come out of slumber, stop fumbling and act in a responsible manner, he added.
