A retired Air Vice Marshal allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at his residence in Chandigarh on Wednesday.

A retired Air Vice Marshal allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at his residence in Chandigarh on Wednesday.
"Retired Air Vice Marshal Manjit Singh Dhillon, 69, shot himself through the chin with a .12 bore gun at his Sector 35-C residence," Station House Officer (SHO) Anokh Singh said.
He said Dhillon's wife lives with him while the couple's son stays abroad.
Senior Superintendent of Police S S Srivastava said forensic experts were investigating the crime spot.
The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
