Rosiah, who was on an extensive tour of the flood-hit districts of Andhra Pradesh from October 10, was reportedly safe.

He went around the areas submerged and met those affected. Rosiah promised to render all possible help.

Earlier in September, a helicopter carrying Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhar Reddy, two of his staff and two pilots went missing in pouring morning over the Naxal and tiger-infested Nalamalla forests with no contact. After an extensive search operation it was found that the chopper exploded after hitting a hillock.
