The Royal Opera House is inviting Twitter users to contribute lyrics to the opera's libretto, which will be set to music by Helen Porter and performed between September 4 and 6.

Members of the public will be asked to submit ‘tweets’ upto 140 characters, which will be combined to form a libretto. These will then be set to original music by composer Helen Porter and mixed with some more familiar opera music. Excerpts will be performed at the Royal Opera House as part of Deloitte Ignite '09 in September.
