RUCHI GROUP celebrated 51 years of its foundation day by dedicating the occasion to the memory of their ancestors. The function was organised at DAVV Auditorium, Khandwa Road.
Member of Parliament Sawai Singh Sisodia was the chief guest along with the four directors of group Kailash Shahra, Dinesh Shahra, Santosh Shahra and Suresh Shahra.
Ruchi group was established 51 years ago on February 1, 1956, by Late Mahadevji Shahra. Today his dream company is flourishing with annual turnover of Rs 13,000 crore and has 8,000 employees. Sisodia addressed the programme and shared his memorable moments with Mahadev Shahra.
After this, the directors paid tributes to their founding father. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dinesh Shahra said that Mahadevji had earned success by following a proper daily routine. Santosh Shahra spoke about how the group was progressing on the principles of ‘simple living high thinking’.
Suresh Shahra touched the moments of his fathers with his ‘Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha’ philosophy. He further added that his father had a firm belief in truth and he spent his whole life with that philosophy.
In the end, Kailash Shahra said that Ruchi Group had an important role to bring Indore on the industrial map. Starting from Badnagar, this journey had reached various parts of the world. With a start of 10 tonne per day, production has touched 5,000 tonne daily mark. He added that there had been many ups and downs, but Ruchi was still growing on the basis of its founding principles.
Umesh Shahra announced two prizes, which will be given every year. The prizes are ‘Ruchi Merit award Scheme’ and ‘Chairman’s Manufacturing Excellence Award’.
The first award will be given to children of employees and for professional education. The second award will be given to the best manufacturing unit. This prize is divided into three categories - gold, silver and bronze. Mementos and ‘shawls’ were also presented to associates of Ruchi group.
On the occasion, winners of Ruchi Challenger Trophy Cricket Tournament were also awarded. Ruchi Marketing was the winning team and Ruchi InfoTech was the runners-up of the event.
