The al-Sahwa newspaper quoted "well-informed" sources as saying that Raghad Saddam Hussein, who lives in exile in Jordan, has asked Yemeni authorities "to receive Saddam's body and temporarily bury him in the country until Iraq is liberated from occupation and the body can be removed to Iraq".
Yemeni officials contacted by DPA refused to confirm or deny the report.
Saddam's execution in Baghdad came just four days after an Iraqi court upheld the death sentence handed down after Saddam was convicted for the 1982 massacre in the Iraqi city of Dujail.
