Samajwadi Janta Party led by former Prime Minister Chandrasekhar will support Congress candidates in Punjab.

Samajwadi Janta Party led by former Prime Minister Chandrasekhar will support Congress candidates in Punjab.

Announcing this at a press conference here, in which Chief Minister Amarinder Singh was also present, SJP's State unit president Darshan Singh Jeeda said the former prime minister would be visiting Punjab shortly for campaigning.

"We have decided to put up a united fight against the communal forces," he said.

Former Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Sohan Singh Bodal announced his decision to join the Congress.
