Sangh Parivar activists allegedly assaulted two members belonging to the minority community in separate incidents in the Mangalore.

Sangh Parivar activists allegedly assaulted two members belonging to the minority community in separate incidents in the Mangalore.

Following an altercation on Friday night, Sangh Parivar activist Ganesh allegedly attacked Ashraf, who was on a vacation in Mangalore at Marnamikatta.

The injured has been hospitalised. Both have lodged complaints in the Mangalore Rural police station. No arrest has been made, police said.

In another incident last night, a group of men, suspected to belong to Sri Rama Sene assaulted Farooq at Adyarpadavu.
Police have registered a case and arrested one Pradeep in connection with the attack.

Mangalore was in the news early this year after Sene activists attacked women at a pub here. They had also threatened to disrupt Valentine's Day celebrations.

Sangh Parivar activists had also abducted the daughter of a Kerala CPIM MLA from Majeshwar constituency as she was found talking to a boy from minority community while travelling in a bus.
