Police said over half a dozen armed men entered the local hospital in Chawla Colony, where Bijender Tewatia of Palwal was attending to his ailing eight-year-old son, and started firing indiscriminately.

He died on the spot. Police said the victim had been allotted gunmen but they weren't present at the time of the incident.

The police have identified the killers but none of them have been arrested. The victim's neighbours said some old rivalry could be the reason for the attack.
