Sasken revenue up by 27 per cent

Sasken Communication Technologies Limited (Sasken), a pioneer in telecom R&D outsourcing, recorded a revenue of Rs 308.13 crore in 2005-06 up by 27 per cent from Rs 241.77 crore earned the previous year.
The net profit were marginally up at Rs 22.92 crore as against Rs 22.78 crore earned in 2004-05, the Company said in a release. The PAT for FY 06 before the exceptional item was Rs 29.68 Crore, translating to a growth of 30% over the previous year.
The Directors have recommended a dividend of Rs 3 per share on the equity capital of the company for the financial year ended March 31, 2006 subject to the approval of the shareholders.
During the year the company had incorporated a development Centre in China and during the last quarter it added 203 people (gross) and had a total staff strength of 2575 as on March 31.
Sasken had successfully demonstrated a full phone solution using Sasken’s Integrated Solution at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona.
