It is generally believed that the world at present does not allow for peaceful methods as a means to make one realise one's mistakes. But have strikes, gheraos, agitations and other such methods transformed people's lives at all?

It is these very methods that have brought us to this present plight. Even if after a war, neither side wins, both sides say that a war will be waged again. This illustrates our present position.
If people were calm, they would never say that cruelty can be countered by adopting cruel means and that it is necessary to fight injustice with anger and hate. We shall have been proved very wrong if we hoped to bring in good by fighting bad ways by equally bad methods.
The best way to bring peace to humanity is to base our lives on truth and divine virtues. This is 'satyagraha' in the true sense.
Truth is like a blessing and always beautiful and therefore, most auspicious.
