The boys, 15 and 14, were traced by the telephone number and would be sent to a juvenile home after questioning, police said.

"They had made the call for fun," said Deputy Commissioner of Police Robin Hibu.

Earlier in the day, people were evacuated from Satyam theatre in Patel Nagar, west Delhi, after an anonymous call claimed that there was a bomb in the premises.

"We managed to trace the call immediately and our teams started working to identify the caller," said Hibu. "We are also questioning the owner of the telephone booth from where the call was made."

"It took us about two hours to check the premises after emergency services were pressed in," he added.

This is the second time in seven days that minors have been arrested for making bomb hoax calls.

Earlier, police had arrested two minors - aged 10 and eight - for making hoax calls to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
