Andhra Pradesh has 294 legislators.

Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan agreed to hear the suit on Feb 1 after former MP M Narayan Reddy said there was a constitutional crisis because assembly speaker N Kiran Kumar Reddy was "sitting over the resignations" without either accepting or rejecting them.

The lawsuit sought the apex court's intervention to solve the crisis.
