School bus overturns, 23 injured in Bhiwani

Twenty three children were on Saturday injured when a school bus in which they were travelling overturned between Sanjarwas village and Sanwad, police said.

The mishap occurred as the bus driver tried to overtake a tractor and lost control of the vehicle, they said, adding the bus was coming from Sanjarwas village in the district. Bhiwani is 270 kms from Chandigarh.

All injured are students of Bal Shiksha Niketan School, Sanwad.

The condition of three students was stated to be serious and they were referred to medical college, Rohtak, police said, adding others have been admitted to civil hospital, Charkhi Dadri.
