This federation will have more than 100 RWAs. Though Sector 56 has a cluster of condominiums, with hundreds of high-rises, residents rue that they are ignored and not given the kind of attention as given to private colonies near NH-8.

“Though bodies like Jafra exist in Gurgaon, they are indifferent to this part of the city. They never invite us to their functions or raise issues related to us,” said wing commander AS Chaudhary (retd), president, RWA of Jalvayu Towers Apartment.

Other big housing societies in Sector 56 include Kendriya Vihar, Rail Vihar, Devender Vihar and Hewo.

RC Taneja, patron of Hewo (I) RWA told HT, “Each society with less than 100 houses will send one representative to the federation, but those which have more than 100 families will send two to three members depending on the size of the society.”

The main purpose of the federation is to work jointly towards the betterment of Sector 56 and pressurise Huda, MCG and DHBVN (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam).
