The Malad police on Wednesday arrested Sanjay Misra (21), a security guard from Surat on charges of murdering two of his colleagues. On December 18, Ramakant Tripathi (26) and Chandrashekhar Khedekar (38) were found dead in a building that Misra and Khedekar used to guard. Tripathi was their supervisor.

During interrogations, Misra said he killed the duo because they used abuse and insult him repeatedly. He further alleged that Tripathi often forced him to do his personal chores without paying him anything. “Tripathi also used to take a cut from Misra’s salary of Rs 3,000m,” said DCP (Zone XI) Makrand Ranade.

Tripathi was killed using a stone on the terrace of China Link building, located along Link Road in Malad.

Misra said Khedekar, who was found dead inside the watchman’s cabin, used to wrongly complain to Tripathi against Misra.

During questioning, it was found that Misra is wanted by the Haryana police in another murder case.
