Security tightened at Sector 14A of Noida

Police tightened security at Sector 14A on Sunday after some Samajwadi Party workers misbehaved with the staff at the home of Greater Noida Authority Chairman Rakesh Bahadur.

A strong police contingent deployed in the area regulated the movement of vehicles. Later in the day, the deployment was reduced and some policemen in plainsclothes were posted.

A group of Samajwadi Party workers created a ruckus at Bahadur's residence on Friday evening.

Sources said the incident was the fallout of a Samajwadi Party leader being denied some allotments in Noida or Greater Noida. By this evening, senior party leaders had sorted out the matter and pacified the leader who was denied allotment.
