THE STATE government is contemplating to move the Supreme Court against the Allahabad High Court’s directive to withdraw security of student leaders and contractors.
Senior officers of the state government, including Home Secretary RM Srivastava and the Special Secretary, Home, Kamal Saxena rushed to New Delhi today. The State Government had earlier filed an application before the high court to allow it six weeks time to withdraw the security.
Meanwhile, the Allahabad High Court today directed the state government to direct the district magistrates to ensure withdrawal of gunners to students and student leaders.
However, the court has given five months time to the state to withdraw security gunners from contractors and political activists.
